 Meet our art tutor Nichola

Our Principal Art Tutor - Nichola

Hello, my name is Nichola, and I am delighted to introduce myself as the Principal Art Tutor here at BeeCreative Studio, where I provide educational art workshops for children throughout the Manchester and North West area. As an Early Childhood Educator, I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education and have over fifteen years of invaluable experience working in the sector, with children ‘at risk’ of experiencing significant disadvantage that may otherwise adversely impact on their learning and development throughout school. This experience has enriched my ability to create inclusive classrooms where every child feels valued and empowered to explore the world around them.

What is my experience of working with children?

In my role as an Early Childhood Educator, my main area of interest in education is supporting children with additional needs and promoting the English language proficiency of children who speak English as an additional language. My comprehensive understanding of child development issues in educational settings has enabled me to contribute to the development of socio-emotional and language communication intervention groups for children in the early years and Key Stage 1 so that there is a cohesive and effective support system for each child.

Beyond the classroom, I am truly enthusiastic about the transformative power of art and its potential to shape young minds and lives. Guided by my years of experience, educational background, and unyielding passion, I am excited to continue my journey as the Principal Art Tutor in BeeCreative Studio, where I am dedicated to nurturing young learners and preparing them for a bright and promising future.

How will I enrich the learning experiences of children?

I believe in a holistic approach to art education that encompasses not only cognitive growth but also social, emotional, and physical development. My teaching philosophy centres around fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking from an early age. By providing a safe and supportive atmosphere, I aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning and practising art in each child, setting the stage for their future academic and personal success.

What can I expect from these art workshops for my child(ren)?

Whether your child(re) are beginners or already have some art experience, our workshops are designed to cater to different skill levels. Using age-appropriate instruction and guidance, I help children progress and grow as artists, through exciting and thought-provoking art projects such as

o   Exploring nature and wildlife,

o   Fantasy realms

o   Discovering famous artists.

Do you take group bookings?

Yes! Our art workshops provide a great space for children to connect with like-minded peers who share their passion for art. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, the children will be supported to participate in collaborative projects and group discussions of work, which will help them to appreciate and respect each other's artistic journeys while fostering a sense of camaraderie.

Do you have a DBS?

Yes! I hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate.
