Foundations of Life Drawing : A Structured Approach to Drawing the Figure
This course teaches essential foundational life drawing and perception skills to make visually accurate figure drawings. This fully guided course covers topics such as:
Seeing shape: Translating the three-dimensional figure into a two-dimensional drawing.
Contour: Noticing the direction and rhythm in the contours of the human body.
Negative Spaces: Noticing the negative space that surround the body and using these to establish proportionally accurate drawings.
Seeing Tone: Understanding the variations of light and dark tonal values in the figure.
Mark-Making: Using line to describe direction, weight, rhythm, and speed.
